Hello! I'm Clare Holder, a self taught, 25 year old artist based just outside of Geelong, Australia.
The Middle is my collection of art and illustrations, both commissions and original artworks.
Creating realistic portraits that capture peoples vibrancy and personality, all my works are fun and bright!
I've always enjoyed making art and being creative, but must have forgotten somewhere along the way, as I only started drawing again in 2013.
I'm still learning, exploring different techniques and mediums, as well as digital art.
I hope you enjoy my work and thanks for joining me!
Portraits
If you're after a custom potrait, there's a few things to keep in mind.
1. I need a high quality photo. I can only draw what I can see, so if your photo is low resolution or blurry, I won't be able to capture their true likeness.
2. If your photo ISN'T the best, I can sometimes work with other photos for reference. I can also composite images together, eg, you want a photo of a couple, one of them isn't smiling. Send me another photo of a similar angle with their lovely smile and PRESTO, everyone is happy.
3. I do a variety of sizes, generally from A4 to A1, but can do smaller or larger.
4. My main medium for portraits is graphite, but I can include watercolour, coloured pencil and other mediums at your request.
All prices are dependant on the above factors.
